Melania Trump Says Donald Was Pushing Her for More Kids in Resurfaced Clip

President Donald Trump is a father of five, but apparently, he wanted to have more kids. It was his current wife, Melania Trump, who said she was “perfectly fine with one.” Donald and Melania welcomed the only child they share, Barron Trump, on March 20, 2006. In a resurfaced clip, the First Lady revealed that her husband pushed her to have more kids. She did not seem interested in expanding their family though. “I was always perfectly fine with one,” she previously said on Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends. “And Donald was encouraging [us] to have more.”

Melania was already ‘very busy.’

And she seemed to sense that if they were to welcome more children together, she would have a lot on her plate due to her husband’s “busy” schedule. “I said, like, ‘I’m completely fine with one because it’s [a] very busy life,'” Melania explained. “I know how busy he is… and I’m in charge of everything.” Oof.

Of course, we already knew that Melania has dedicated a lot of time and energy to being a mom. She’s been known to be protective of her son, and has worked hard to keep him out of the spotlight. This year, for Mother’s Day, she reflected on motherhood and hinted at being more involved in parenting compared to her husband.

“Motherhood: The life-changing event that makes women invincible and exposed at the same time. It’s remarkable, really, that my son’s life creates unimaginable, unpredictable concerns and thrills for me, even until this day,” she said, “All caring mothers understand this rare feeling. Nothing against fathers, of course, but in my opinion, and I am sure everyone in this room agrees—only a mother can grasp this particular point.”

She reportedly got mad at one of her husband’s other sons recently.

Though Melania works hard to keep her only son out of the spotlight, other members of the Trump family are not necessarily as committed to this effort. Recently, Eric Trump spoke about Barron’s viral Inauguration Day interaction with Former President Joe Biden.

Eric didn’t say anything bad about Barron. He said the interaction was super polite. “It was something so polite I almost wouldn’t even get it right,” Eric said. “‘Congratulations and best of luck to you,’ or something like that. Something very respectful.”

But the fact that Eric felt inclined to share the story publicly apparently made Melania “deeply uncomfortable.” An insider claimed, “She told Eric to shut his mouth. She protects that boy like a lioness.”
