As Harry watched from behind his cash register, he found himself not wanting to judge what he saw happening down the aisles of the grocery store, but he still found what he was observing quite peculiar.
Harry had worked at the supermarket for years and had come across people from all walks of life every single shift. He always tried to be friendly toward his customers, but when he spotted a strange-looking couple walking through the store filling their cart with seemingly random items with a man who appeared to be unhoused walking behind them, he wasn’t sure what to think.
Finally, the couple and homeless gentleman had made their way up to Harry’s cash register with an overflowing shopping cart. Harry liked the nice thought that one man wouldn’t go hungry today due to the kindness of strangers, but he wasn’t entirely sure if that was the case here.
As Harry began to scan the items from the cart, he noticed that there was no rhyme or reason for what was in their cart. It was almost like the couple ran through the store grabbing anything and everything without even pausing to think about if they needed it or not.
The couple stood on one side of the cart and the homeless man on the other. At that moment, the man told Harry that they were buying all of this food for the homeless man who had accompanied them around the store. Something seemed off though, and Harry was skeptical.

As the couple got out a debit card to pay for the groceries, Harry realized that he recognized the homeless man from a local GoFundMe page. Some community members had started a fundraiser to help raise money for this unhoused gentleman who was in need.
