Pamela Anderson Is Still Embracing Natural Look But Is Criticized For Looking ‘Really Old’

Pamela Anderson is 57 years old, but when she posted a video of her skin care routine, some people felt inclined to comment about how Pamela "hasn't aged well." The negative comments about Pamela's appearance have sparked a debate, making some wonder if people will ever just let women age. Pamela is well-known for her modeling work for Playboy and her role on Baywatch, and of course, she's known for her beauty. While some people can't seem to accept the fact that she's embracing a different look, in February 2024, she told Allure that, compared to her Baywatch and Playboy days, she feels "much more sensual in my own skin … it’s much more intimate and vulnerable … kind of like this is how your boyfriend sees you, without makeup. It’s almost sexier, I think."

And yet, when she shared the video of her skin care routine in June, she received comments like: "She looks really old. She's not that old" and "She looks fine, she just hasn’t aged well. She was one of the most beautiful women on the planet."

One Instagram user observed that "For the most part all the women in the comments say she looks amazing and beautiful. All the men in the comments say she looks old. ."

Whether or not Pamela looks "really old" is not really anyone else's business, yet many felt inclined to make claims about how Pamela looks 80 years old, or even 100. Um, what?

"She’s only 56. Let that sink in," one person commented, leading some to wonder: do people (especially men) know what women in their 50s actually look like?

One person responded to the comment with, "Social media has brain washed you about how women usually look in their 50s. This is the aging process for most women. Let that sink in."

Not everyone was critical of Pamela's natural look though, and many praised her appearance. Though some might be used to her glammed-up Playboy-esque look, she told The New York Times that the image she had for a long time "was almost a caricature."

"I’ve been playing characters my whole life. Now I am playing me," she told the outlet. And in an Instagram post on her birthday, July 1, she noted that she's "happier than ever."
