Pete Davidson is known for being a pretty funny dude, but no one is laughing about an incident that occurred late Saturday, March 4, 2023. This includes a 16-year-old girl who was home alone reading at the time.
Pete and his girlfriend — actor Chase Sui Wonders, who was a passenger in the car — had just returned home from a relaxing Hawaiian vacation. Pete lost control of his Mercedes, hit a curb, damaged a fire hydrant, and crashed into the side of a Beverly Hills home. Thankfully, no one was hurt. The unnamed 16-year-old was "a bit traumatized," but Pete and Chase immediately apologized, putting her at ease. Police officers were called to the scene.
Pete was driving at a high rate of speed. He struck the house near the living room, which caused the exterior wall to be pushed in. The impact also forced a window out of its frame. It is not clear at this time why Pete lost control of the car, but the family has no plans to sue. The teen at first thought she was experiencing an earthquake but instead now has an even cooler story to tell her friends.
Officers are not commenting at this time on this incident. The investigation is still ongoing. No arrests or citations were made at the scene. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in this crash. Neither Pete’s nor Chase’s representatives have officially commented on the matter.
Pete and Chase first met on the set of the film Bodies Bodies Bodies in 2021 but were dating other people at the time. Pete was dating Kim Kardashian, then Emily Ratajkowski. Chase was dating Charles Melton. When both were single, they began spending time together. While neither has publicly commented on their relationship, it seems pretty official and cozy.
“Pete and Chase had insane chemistry on set. As well as when the cameras weren’t rolling,” one Bodies Bodies Bodies costar gossiped to US Weekly in January 2023.
