Princess Eugenie And Husband Jack Brooksbank Welcome 2nd Baby And Share His Name

There’s a new member of the British royal family. He is 13th in line for the throne and the first of the late Queen Elizabeth’s great-grandchildren to be born since her death. She is likely looking down on him and smiling.

On Monday, June 5, 2023, Buckingham Palace announced that Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have welcomed their second child, a son. The palace also revealed his name, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank. Princess Eugenie took to Instagram to share photos of the newborn and explain the deeper meaning behind his name.

“Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank. Ernest was born on Tuesday, 30th May, and weighed 7lbs 1oz,” the palace proudly proclaimed.

“He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald,” Eugenie explained on Instagram. She and Jack also have a 2-year-old son, August Philip Hawke, who is embracing his role of big brother. “Augie is loving being a big brother already,” Eugenie adds.

Eugenie is the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, making King Charles her uncle. Although Andrew and Sarah are divorced, they remain close and dedicated to their extended family. They are relishing this era of grandparenthood.
