Raffi Cavoukian, the children’s musician known for songs like “Baby Beluga,” shared a vulnerable post in which he admitted that he is looking for a romantic partner. Though he hasn’t found one yet, some fans quickly jumped at the opportunity to play matchmaker. On October 28, 2024, Raffi, 76, wrote that he’s “been wanting to meet a special woman” — and several fans thought their moms might be interested.
“For some time, I’ve been wanting to meet a special woman with whom to share joy,” the children’s musician wrote on X and Threads. “Some days it seems that may never happen, other days such a meeting feels imminent. well, universe, what’ll it be?”
Many of the responses to his post with super sweet. Some fans simply encouraged Raffi, saying that they hope he finds the love he’s looking for.
“Raffi, you are a gem,” one person responded on X. “I know she is out there.”
Another person wrote: “I really hope she appears soon! You made all of us smile and laugh over the years…..that same love should be returned to you.”
Other fans immediately started trying to help him find a suitable partner.

On Threads, one person wrote that they would happily help him connect with their mom. “She’s in the area, sings, plays cello, has a PhD in Early Childhood Ed and has a joyful zest for life that is unmatched,” the person wrote.
Several other fans thought their moms would be great for Raffi.
“I have the most adorable single mom,” another person wrote. “But, she’s on the west coast 😕. She kind, selfless, works in healthcare and would really love to find someone!”
One fan admitted that their mom would be “mortified” if she found out about their matchmaking efforts. “My mom, who would be mortified I’m saying this, has the kindest heart,” they wrote on X. “Spent a whole career supporting adults with developmental disabilities. Loves nature, BC, outdoor activities..DM me Raffi.”
While many fans nominated their moms for Raffi’s consideration, others nominated themselves. “Where do we send our resumes?” one fan joked.
Raffi was previously married to his high school sweetheart, Deborah Joan Pike, according to The Washington Post. Their relationship reportedly ended in the 1990s. In September, FOX 9 reported that Raffi is selling his four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in British Columbia, Canada, for nearly $2 million.
On X, he shared that he recently moved to a smaller home. “For the past 16 years this was my living/dining room space on Salt Spring Island. I recorded vocals and instrumental tracks for several albums here,” he wrote. “Would love to see a sweet family enjoy this inspiring abode.”
