During her recent trip to the United States, Rosie O’Donnell was presented with several opportunities to share how she really feels about President Donald Trump, and she took advantage of them. Last year, Trump’s second presidency motivated O’Donnell to move to Ireland.
Trump later threatened to revoke her U.S. citizenship, which he cannot legally do. In spite of Trump’s threats against her, she didn’t hold back from criticizing him at the Tony Awards. In fact, she actually bashed him during multiple interviews at the event.
During one of the interviews, she complained about his cognitive tests and his farts.
When The Hollywood Reporter asked O’Donnell about how she feels about the current political situation, she called it “horrific.” She then went on to talk about how Trump is clearly getting older, but those in his circle keep “pretending” like it isn’t happening.
She mentioned several signs that are concerning to her: “Every time that he falls asleep and everyone pretends not to notice, or he lets go gas and everyone shrieks in disgust and backs up, and everyone’s pretending that that’s not happening, or that these cognitive tests are somehow a sign of his intelligence.”
At this point, Trump has bragged about “acing” his cognitive tests multiple times, even though critics have pointed out that a cognitive test is not really something that you “ace.” It also does not measure intelligence. O’Donnell also provided some evidence that these tests are clearly not evaluating how smart people are. She suggested that if they were, Trump would not be “acing” them. “He told the world last week that, surprisingly, the world ‘dumb’ has a b at the end and (that) most people don’t know that,” O’Donnell recalled. “I’m like, ‘Yeah, most people under (the age of) six.'”
She did not stop there.
Rosie O’Donnell slams Donald Trump as a “conman, narcissist and a psychopath”: “If you grew up in New York, you knew he was an asshole and a liar from day one.”

O’Donnell also criticized Trump when speaking to Variety at the Tony Awards. Of course, many people have noticed signs of Trump’s apparent cognitive decline. Even though he has seemingly changed in some ways due to his age, O’Donnell emphasized that he’s always been “an a–hole” and “a liar.” Some things never change.
“If you grew up in New York, you knew he was an a–hole and a liar from day one,” she told Variety. “I remember when his planes were repossessed off the runways at LaGuardia. I remember when he was broke. I remember when he would call up places and pretend to be his own publicist.”
And just in case her feelings about him were not already clear, she added, “He is a con man. He is a narcissist. And he is a psychopath, if you ask me.”
And she also spoke about Trump’s threats against her.
Page Six asked O’Donnell about her decision to visit the United States in spite of Trump’s threats. She admitted that she felt “worried” the first time she visited the country after her big move. At the same time, she knows she has the right to share how she feels about the president.
“I’m an American citizen and always will be,” she told the publication. “And he can’t really arrest American citizens without cause, and using freedom of speech is not a reason to be arrested in America.”
One of Trump’s recent Truth Social posts made it clear that O’Donnell’s comments are still getting to him. On June 6, he shared an AI-generated meme that depicted O’Donnell thinking about him while reading, doing dishes, driving, and trying to sleep. The meme asserted that O’Donnell is “obsessed” with him.
