Princess Charlotte & Prince Louis Offer Rare Glimpse Into Home As They Watch Soccer Game

While Prince William and his eldest son Prince George watched the UEFA European Football Championship between Spain and England on July 14, Prince George's younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, watched the match at home. Prince William and Kate Middleton took to social media to praise England's soccer team even though the team ultimately lost to Spain. The Prince and Princess of Wales also shared a photo of their youngest children, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, providing a rare glimpse into their life at home.

The young royals sported matching custom jerseys as they watched the Euros final on TV. The jerseys featured their names. The numbers on their jerseys were not random. Charlotte's jersey featured the number 9, which is her current age, while 6-year-old Louis had a 6 on the back of his jersey.

William and Kate praised England but also congratulated Spain's team for its win.

"@england, your teamwork, grit and determination were an inspiration to all of us, young and old," they wrote in the post. "Congratulations to Spain. W & C"

At the end of the match, which took place in Germany, Prince William congratulated Spain's team and shook hands with members of England's team, handing them their runner-up medals.

At the match, he and Prince George were photographed wearing matching suits. That same day, Kate had her own plus-one for the Wimbledon men’s final. She and Princess Charlotte watched the tennis tournament together, along with Kate's sister, Pippa Middleton.

Kate, Charlotte, and Pippa were given a standing ovation as they approached their seats at Wimbledon.

The Wimbledon men's final marked Kate's second public appearance since she announced that she had been diagnosed with cancer in March 2024.

She made her first public appearance since the announcement at the birthday parade for King Charles in June.

After the Wimbledon men’s final, Kate presented the singles trophy to Carlos Alcaraz for his victory over Novak Djokovic.

After the tournament, Djokovic spoke about Kate during his news conference. He said that it was "a privilege to be in her presence again," reports the Associated Press.

On Instagram, the Prince and Princess of Wales wrote that "there’s nothing quite like The Championships," and that it was "great to be back at Wimbledon."
