Savannah Chrisley Relives 2017 Date With Colton Underwood: ‘I Knew You Were Gay’

Savannah Chrisley claims that she knew that Colton Underwood was gay before the American TV personality publicly came out in 2021. During her most recent podcast episode, Savannah shared that the two met for a date in 2017. And she instantly "knew" that he wasn't romantically interested.

According to Savannah, upon first meeting Colton, she knew nothing romantic would ever come of the two. "When we met the first time, I knew you were gay," she exclaimed. "Like, I knew it!"

Colton never planned to come out to the world, having been widely known for his appearance on The Bachelor in 2019, where he looked for a wife among the 30 contestants. But in 2021, he came out during a Good Morning America interview.

In an interview with Variety magazine, Colton shared that his coming out was prompted out of fear. “I, at one point, during my rock bottom and spiral, was getting blackmailed. Nobody knows I was blackmailed.”
