
Those who carry cash would have a denomination as an option with President Donald Trump’s portrait, at least under the idea of one of South Carolina’s congressmen. US Rep. Joe Wilson, a Republican from South Carolina, a staunch supporter of Trump, says he’s planning to propose a $250 bill to include the president’s face.
“Bidenflation has destroyed the economy forcing American families to carry more cash. Most valuable bill for [the] most valuable President!” Wilson posted on X.

Federal law, however, prohibits any living person from being depicted on US currency.
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing currently prints $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 notes. Previous higher denominations are no longer printed.
Wilson’s planned proposal would play to a GOP primary voting base especially in a state where Trump is very popular.
