Stormy Daniels testified that when she met former President Donald Trump in 2006, he compared her to his daughter. The former adult film actress took the stand to testify in Trump's hush money trial on Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Stormy testified that when Trump asked her to get dinner with him in 2006, she was not interested until her publicist encouraged her, reported NBC News. Her publicist told her that at the very least, the dinner would “make a great story” and would allow her to get out of a dinner with her colleagues, which she didn't want to go to, the Associated Press reported.
When Stormy got to Trump's hotel room, she said, he was wearing pajamas — "silk or satin pajamas" that she poked fun at.
"Does Mr. Hefner know you stole his pajamas?” Stormy said she joked at the time, prompting Trump to change his clothes, AP reported. Stormy was referring to Hugh Hefner, the late Playboy founder who famously wore pajamas and a robe most of the time.
They then sat down at the dining table in his penthouse hotel suite. He reportedly said he wanted to talk to her before leaving the suite for dinner, according to NBC News.
She described their conversation as "general get-to-know-you sort of things" and she appreciated that he seemed interested in the "business aspects" of her career — not just "the sexy stuff," reported AP.

Stormy also said that during their conversation, she asked Trump about his wife Melania. She also complimented Melania, calling her "very beautiful."
Trump allegedly said that he and Melania didn't sleep in the same room, Stormy said. AP reported that Trump seemed to shake his head and mutter something under his breath as Stormy described this conversation in court.
Melania wasn't the only person in Trump's family who came up during conversation, but it was Trump that mentioned his daughter, comparing Stormy to her, Stormy testified.
Stormy said that Trump told her: "You remind me of my daughter." He reportedly made this comparison because they are both intelligent blond women that some people underestimate, NBC reported. Many have assumed that Trump was referring to Ivanka when making this comparison.
At that point in the conversation, Trump and Stormy hadn't had dinner yet. They were still in his hotel room. She testified that they had a "long" conversation that lasted for nearly two hours. She eventually had to use the bathroom, and when she came back, she found Trump on his bed wearing only his boxer shorts and a T-shirt, reported AP.
She felt "startled" at first after seeing him like that, then she "had that moment where I felt like the room spun in slow motion," she described, saying that she realized she was in a "bad situation," NBC reported.
After seeing Trump on the bed without his clothes on, Stormy wondered what she "misread to get [there]," she said. She said that in the end, she had sex with Trump.
Trump has denied these allegations.
She testified that she "just wanted to leave" and left as quickly as she could afterward. When asked if Trump wore a condom when they had sex, Stormy said "no."
"He didn’t give me anything; he didn’t offer to pay me or give me his cellphone number or anything like that," she said, as per NBC, and she later felt "ashamed" for not stopping it from happening.
