On the October 23, 2023, episode of her talk show, Drew Barrymore revealed that Taylor Swift has inspired her to be more open about her dating life. Drew has technically been single since her divorce — she was with Will Kopelman from 2012 to 2016 — but seeing Taylor Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs game for the first time was an "a-ha moment," she told her audience on The Drew Barrymore Show.
“There was something so normal about it, and obviously Taylor Swift is everything but normal, but I’m a female, I’m going to go out on a date with a male, I’m not going to overthink this, I am not going to be the dark horse and be secretive and weird about it," Drew said.
She added that Taylor's "calm, confident, and normal" attitude while dating Travis Kelce "just made [her] think [she] should do this too." So she took a big step in her dating life, and she invited a man to be her date at a wedding.
Taylor went on a date, so she realized she could too — but the man might've been a bit surprised. Drew also revealed that she has been seeing someone "sort of in and around the last three years," according to Page Six.

“I invited him to a wedding next weekend, and he said, 'Wow, after three and a half years you are going to invite me to a wedding?'” she said.
