Trump Faces Criticism Over AI Image Showing Himself As Decorated Military General

President Donald Trump has already shared numerous controversial AI depictions of himself, including an image that showed him as Jesus and another one of him as the Pope. Now, he’s facing more backlash after sharing an AI-generated image that shows him as a decorated military general.

An image that shows him standing between Gen. George S. Patton and Gen. Douglas MacArthur is actually not the only AI image he’s shared that references military service.

Notably, Trump has never served in the military. He has also been criticized for avoiding the draft during the Vietnam War. So, people are actually begging him to stop sharing offensive AI-generated images that depict him as a military figure.

The image featuring Patton and MacArthur sparked backlash on social media.

In the AI-generated image Trump shared on Truth Social, he is shown with more military decorations than Patton and MacArthur. On X, one critic slammed Trump, calling him “pathetic” for wanting to “think of himself as a war hero.”

“How dare he disrespect the uniform and the two decorated officers that served,” someone else wrote.

Another critic said Trump’s “narcissism is getting worse,” and even someone who said they voted for Trump added, “This guy is out of his mind.”

People were disgusted by Trump sharing the “fantasy version of his life.”

One popular X post from progressive commentator Alex Cole read, “If you served in the military and don’t feel insulted by this, you’re hopelessly brainwashed.”

In response, multiple people referred to Trump as a draft dodger. “It’s stolen Valor – this is so disrespectful to each and every one of us who has ever served,” one person commented.

Someone else added, “What is wrong with MAGAts that they think it is okay that a draft dodger who never served in any capacity, would post something like this?”

Another one of Trump’s AI-generated Truth Social posts has also sparked backlash recently.

The image shows Trump sitting across from a younger version of himself when he was at the New York Military Academy. It reads, “Same guy. Even more energy now!”

One critic who shared the post on X wrote, “Once again: Trump was not in the military nor anywhere near it.”

At the same time, several commenters pointed out that the image appeared to reference his time at the New York Military Academy. And some commenters did notice one accurate detail in the image, even though it came across as “more delusional AI slop from Trump.”

In the image, the older version of Trump looks extremely proud as he looks at the younger version of himself. And that made sense to his critics. “The only person he looks at with admiration is himself,” one of them wrote.

The fact that Trump regularly shares fake images of himself in an apparent attempt to make himself look better also disturbs people. He often shares multiple different AI-generated images and videos of himself per day. “He lives in a complete fantasy world,” another commenter added.
