From a young age, she spent much of her time in show business on TV and on radio shows. She aspired to visit as many countries as possible, and even on her 85th birthday, traveled to the Italian Alps and took a Croatian cruise, according to her obituary.

"She had a goal of taking each one of her grandchildren individually to a different country to show them that the world is a place of love, acceptance and connection," her obituary noted.
