What to Know
Are President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance on the brink of a falling out? Although Trump and Vance appear to still be getting along, some people have basically been waiting for tensions to escalate. After all, Trump is not exactly known for his stable, low-conflict relationships with others. And given that Vance previously did not support Trump and referred to himself as a “‘Never Trump’ guy” in 2016, it’s not hard to believe that the two men might eventually butt heads. So, when rumors of alleged “disagreements” emerged, some people ran with them.
Sources say that things are messy behind the scenes.
An insider told Radar that what the public sees is different from what’s happening behind the scenes, and well, it’s not exactly hard to imagine the two of them getting involved in some drama. Trump and Vance have allegedly had some “disagreements,” and Vance’s feelings about the president might be shifting. In recent weeks, some critics of the Trump administration have actually noticed that Vance seems to be borrowing from the Trump playbook and speaking in a way that’s more in line with how the president communicates. However, Radar‘s source claimed that there’s been talk of Vance replacing Trump — and can you imagine Trump taking that well?
“There’s also rumblings the cabinet wants J. to take over and move Trump out,” the insider alleged. Additionally, the source said Vance has reportedly “turned” on Trump in private. Of course, it’s possible that they’re still getting along just fine, but last year’s drama between Trump and Elon Musk (along with Trump’s falling out with Marjorie Taylor Greene) also showed us how quickly things can change when Trump is involved.

Unsurprisingly, the White House denied these claims.
In spite of the rumors, the White House has said that everything is totally fine, actually. Liz Huston from the Office of the Press Secretary told Radar that the feud rumors are “100% fake news,” adding that only “a moron” would believe that Vance and Trump are currently in conflict with each other.
Huston went on to brag about what the Trump administration has done over the past year. “President Trump and Vice President Vance have worked together to lead the most successful first year of any presidential administration in history,” Huston claimed.
The two men might be getting along now, but Vance’s old posts from 2016 recently resurfaced.
The resurfaced posts reminded people that Vance can change his mind (and maybe his values) super quickly as well. As part of a 2016 nostalgia trend on social media, content creators dug up some of Vance’s old posts from that year.
That year, Vance said he “never liked” Trump and also questioned, “What percentage of the American population has [Trump] sexually assaulted?” He also said Trump was “unfit for our nation’s highest office.” Yikes.
