Ant And Christina Anstead Celebrate ‘Sweet, Sensitive, Busy’ Hudson’s 1st Birthday

Ant and Christina Anstead are thrilled to be celebrating their baby boy. The couple's son, Hudson, turned 1 year old on September 6.

It's been quite a ride for the two seasoned parents. The couple is used to chaos as part of a family of seven. There are Ant's two older kids from his previous marriage, 16-year-old Amelie and 13-year-old Archie. Then there are Christina's kids whom she shares with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, 9-year-old Taylor Reese and 5-year-old Brayden James.

Hudson's birthday marks the middle of the birthday season in the El Moussa/Anstead household. There are just two weeks between mid-August and late September that aren't marked by a kid's birthday. It makes the late summer and early fall extra special for the blended family.

This year was a little different for the family. Ant's older kids, who live in the UK, were unable to fly here for their scheduled time with their dad back in May. Luckily, Ant was able to get over there to see them recently.

Ant and Christina Anstead are in the midst of a season of celebration in their household. Right now, that celebration is focused on their son, Hudson. Hudson celebrated his first birthday on September 6. Both of the sweet little guy's parents took to social media to reflect on the first year of his life.

"Happy 1️⃣  Birthday Hudson!" Christina shared with some choice favorites of Hudson over the past year.

"Sweet, sensitive, busy boy … can't wait for you to be chasing your siblings around the house soon – we love you ."

"Happy birthday Hudzo!! Where has the year gone!???" Ant wrote on his Instagram.

"You are our miracle baby, the perfect blend of your beautiful mummy and this Brit dad ! We love you so much! Today we celebrate you! ❤️."

Ant also added some fun facts about how birthdays in the family happen to fall:

"I always found it weird (cool) that Amelie and Tay were born exactly 7 days apart

"And Archie and Bray we ALSO born exactly 7 days apart

"And then Hudzo landed right bang in the middle of them! ."

The proud dad continued to express his love for his blended family, which he truly believes was meant to come together as it did:

"Coincidence? I don't think so!

"'It was written in the stars' ✨."

The birthdays start with Brayden, who turned 5 on August 20. Next is Archie, who turned 14 on August 27. Hudson's birthday on September 6 marks the halfway point in celebrating all the kids' birthdays.

Next up is Taylor, who will turn 10 on September 22. Last but not least is Amelie, who will turn 17 on September 28.

Although it should be a very exciting time for the family, it is also bittersweet.

The family's plans to be together this summer were thwarted by travel issues due to the health crisis. Ant revealed on Instagram that the kids were supposed to come to visit in May but couldn't because of travel blocks. He wasn't able to be reunited with them until just last week when he traveled to the UK.

Ant shared a picture cuddling with the older kids while sharing some stats related to his recent life. He began the post by wishing Archie a happy birthday.

"Some stats for you; Miles from home to my big kids – 5,437"

"Duration of an LA – UK flight – 11 hours 10 mins"

"Weeks in U.K. quarantine – 2
Days in quarantine – 14
Hours in quarantine – 336
Minutes in quarantine – 20,160
Seconds in quarantine – 1,209,600!

"Moments like this – PRICELESS (worth every single one of those seconds)."

He shared his admiration for the man his son is becoming: "Archo you have grown into such an amazing young man and I love you to my core ❤️."

He also shared that he was able to see Amelie graduate: "And extra bonus… Being there…. congratulations Ammo on your graduation!! You make this Daddo so so proud of you as you move into life's next adventure! (The dress )."

During an interview a few months back, Ant shared what makes their blended family work so well.

"I think everybody has to be on the same page," he told Entertainment Tonight.

"Everybody has to be present and pulling in the same direction. That includes Tarek, it includes my ex. If everybody wants the same thing, and that has to be kids first. If you prioritize kids first, it actually kind of falls into place and the rest of it makes sense."
