Saydie Reedy was doing the dishes at home in Oregon when she noticed her two young sons were being particularly quiet in the other room.
She went to go see if everything was OK — but realized her 10-month-old son Kolson had vanished.
That's when her other son, 3-year-old Jackson, pointed down at the heating vent in the floor and said, "Baby in."
Saydie discovered the horrifying truth: Kolson had fallen 8 feet down the vent in the duct work.
She called 911, bawling and frantic. The police department said they'd never had a call like hers before.
When Officer Kevin Wilson arrived, he had to remove some flooring and literally crawl under the house.
