Betty White was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. The veteran performer greeted her golden statue with a "Hello, beautiful," before telling the audience how grateful she was.
Daytime legends Regis Philbin, Marie Osmond, Charo, Tom Bergeron, and Fred Willard came together to honor the 93-year-old superstar.
"I can't tell you what this means," White told the crowd when discussing her legendary career that started in 1949. "I had no idea that I would still be around at this point for one thing, but I'd still be privileged enough to still be in this business."
The Golden Girls actress, who recently revealed her biggest regret to Oprah Winfrey, has been regarded as a pioneer of television, serving as one of the first women to have creative control both in front of and behind the camera.
This achievement places White in good company: past honorees of the Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award include Winfrey, Barbara Walters, Dick Clark, Bob Barker, Regis Philbin, and Alex Trebek.
The award will round out her already-impressive collection of career achievement awards, which include a Career Achievement Award from the Television Critics Association, a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Jane Goodall Institute, a Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award, and a Lifetime Achievement Award in Acting from the American Women in Radio and Television.
