Brad Pitt May Be Resigned To Permanently Cutting Ties With at Least 2 Of His Kids

Throughout the past year, multiple reports have indicated that Brad Pitt is now estranged from all six of his children following his contentious nine-year divorce saga with former lover, Angelina Jolie.

According to the Daily Mail, the 61-year-old movie star may still think it’s a possibility to reconcile with at least some of his children but that he may have accepted that his relationship with his two oldest kids, Maddox and Pax, may never be repaired.

Maddox, 23, has publicly supported his mom, for years, seeming to choose her side in the split. But more recently, a source told the Daily Mail, “Brad honestly considers his relationship with Pax unfixable.”

Interestingly, Jolie actually adopted Maddox and Pax from Cambodia when they were young on her own. It wasn’t until later that Pitt signed the paperwork to legally adopt them. So, it seems possible that may be one of the reasons their loyalties lie with her.

Several years ago, the Daily Mail also reported that back in 2020, a then 16-year-old Pax, wrote disparagingly about Pitt on his private Instagram account, calling him “an awful human being,” after his Academy Award win for the film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was announced. He reportedly also called him “a terrible and despicable person” who made his youngest children “tremble with fear.”

The media caught wind of continued dissent between the father and son last summer, when Pax got into an accident on his e-bike and Pitt didn’t show up to the hospital, while Jolie did. Several months later, Pax was photographed leaving the Chateau Marmont hotel appearing inebriated, and some questioned what could be going on with him and why Pitt wasn’t involved.

At the time, a source told the Daily Mail Pitt has “washed his hands of Pax’s drama,” and that the A-lister “has zero concern with what Pax does or doesn’t do.”

As has been widely reported, Pitt’s apparent issues with his children, may have stemmed from an incident in September 2016, when the actor got into a drunken spat with Jolie, and allegedly got physical with her and some of their children during a flight from France to Los Angeles.

Jolie filed for divorce days later, and Pitt was investigated by the FBI and Child Protective Services. Pitt denied the allegations, and no charges were ever filed against him.

Of Jolie and Pitt’s three biological children, 19-year-old daughter Shiloh and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — whose surnames were all hyphenated — Shiloh has legally dropped Pitt’s last name, but kept her mother’s. Pitt was reportedly “blindsided” and “heartbroken,” by the decision.

Last summer, it was also reported that Pitt also has “virtually no contact” with his and Jolie’s oldest daughter, Zahara, 20. It is unknown whether the name changes are legal, but Zahara and Vivienne now also only go by the last name Jolie.

So while it seems like Pitt hopes to one day reconcile with at least some of his children, for now, it appears most of them remain at odds with him.
