Carrie Underwood Shares The Adorable Story Of How Her 3-Year-Old Son Found Out She’s Pregnant

Carrie Underwood is getting her little one all ready to be a big brother!

The country singer has had an eventful year. Her single "The Champion" with rapper Ludacris was released in January and recently reached the Recording Industry Association of America's Gold status. In April, she released her lead single, "Cry Pretty," off her new album of the same name. But earlier this month, she announced her newest (and most exciting) project: a baby! When revealing the dates for her "Cry Pretty Tour 360" world tour on Instagram, Carrie let fans know she's expecting baby No. 2 with her hubby, Mike Fisher.

The couple already share a 3-year-old son, Isaiah. Since Carrie's big announcement on Instagram, fans were wondering how the pair would inform their son of his promotion to big brother. Carrie recently sat down for an interview with Cody Alan of Country Music Television (CMT) and spilled on how Isaiah found out about the new baby and how the little guy is handling the news.

Carrie is enjoying a successful, productive year. Not only is the country superstar unleashing a new album, but she's also got a new baby on the way.

Carrie and her husband, Mike, just celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary in July.

The two already have a 3-year-old son, Isaiah Michael Fisher.

Fans were pumped to hear that Carrie was going back on tour for her upcoming album, Cry Pretty. There was just one thing about the news that didn't make sense: The album, due out September 14, had a tour that wouldn't start until spring 2019.

Carrie addressed the reason why in a recent Instagram video — and there was a big reveal at the end of it!

The country singer was excited to share with fans that she's pregnant with baby No. 2.

Since then, we've gotten a glimpse at Carrie's baby bump in a photo she shared of herself backstage at the Grand Ole Opry.

Many fans wondered how Isaiah would react to the news that he's becoming a big brother.

In an interview with CMT's Cody Alan, Carrie revealed that Isaiah doesn't quite get pregnancy yet.

While Carrie said that Isaiah's been around the family's pregnant friends and family members, he "doesn't really believe" that the big belly leads to the baby he later meets.

"I’ve had friends around me who have been super pregnant, and we’re like, ‘There’s a baby in there!’ and he’s like, ‘No there’s not,'" the soon-to-be mom of two explained.

Isaiah has some experience being the "big kid," from hanging out with his younger cousin. Carrie revealed that, as he sees his mom's growing tummy, the toddler has definitely been intrigued.

"I started getting a little more full in the midsection, and I was in a swimsuit. And he was just sitting there, kind of just looking at my belly, and he starts squishing it with his little hands," she recalled fondly.

Carrie thought he might have naturally understood what was happening and braced herself for a heartwarming moment. "I kind of thought he was gonna go in to kiss it, and I was like, 'This is about to be the sweetest moment,'" she recalled. But it didn't quite work out that way.

"He literally goes in and blows on my belly. All over my belly, and I’m like, ‘OK and you’re 3. And all of a sudden you’re back to being 3.’"

We're sure that once Isaiah meets his little brother or sister, he's gonna be obsessed. The sweet little boy is going to have a partner-in-crime for life!
