Corey Feldman has come out swinging. Last night he screened his new documentary (My) Truth: The Rape of Two Coreys to an audience in Los Angeles.
In a bombshell reveal, Corey Feldman accused the actor Charlie Sheen of allegedly raping Corey Haim while they were filming Steven Spielberg's 1986 film Lucas. Corey was 13 and Charlie was 19 at the time. Charlie hails from an acting dynasty — he is the son of Martin Sheen and the brother of Emilio Estevez, who have each enjoyed their own Hollywood success.
This isn't the first time that Charlie has been mentioned as associated with the ongoing assault and abuse of at least one of the Coreys. Rumors have surrounded the actor for years, but he has always fiercely denied the allegations. Corey Haim died from pneumonia in 2010 and never publicly named a specific person.
Corey Feldman has been determined to reveal all of the information about what he and his friend experienced as children, but he has been met with opposition throughout the years. Producing the documentary is a huge step that is bound to shake up Hollywood.
Corey Feldman and Corey Haim were known as "The Coreys." They were both child actors in the 1980s who hailed from similar dysfunctional backgrounds, and they quickly bonded over their shared experiences. Both began working in Hollywood in 1984, when they were each 13, and both began working in horror films.
The two Coreys met when they both worked on the film The Lost Boys. They quickly earned the nickname "The Two Coreys" due to their quick bond and the time they spent together on and off set. While describing the friendship, Corey Feldman told Rolling Stone, "It felt like we’d known each other forever. We had the same sense of humor, the same crazy ambition, the same quest for adventure."
The Two Coreys also found themselves roped up in situations that they definitely should not have been exposed to as tweens and young teens. They weren't old enough to be at night clubs, but they were frequently spotted at places like Alphy’s Soda Pop Club alongside older costars like Jon Grissom.
The owner of the club, Alphy Hoffman, became a controversial and allegedly destructive figure in their lives. Corey Feldman says that Alphy began picking him up for Hollywood parties when he was 12 years old.
Corey Feldman has previously described the parties on Dr. Oz: "There [were] a bunch of these guys, they were all hanging out together at these parties … One night … I passed out while I was watching [a] movie, and when I woke up, there was a porn on … I remember I could barely walk. I don’t know what I was given at that time, but I know that I was really out of it."
In the new documentary, Corey Feldman also pinpoints the filming of Lucas as when Charlie Sheen allegedly abused Corey Haim. While crying, he says, "This wasn’t like a one time thing he said in passing. It wasn't like 'Oh, by the way, this happened.' He went into great detail. He told me, 'Charlie bent me over in between two trailers and put Crisco oil on my butt and raped me in broad daylight. Anybody could have walked by, anybody could have seen it.'"
Corey Feldman funded his documentary himself, reportedly so that he would be free to name anyone and everyone without a studio weighing in or stopping him. He has spent years trying to share this information and has often been blocked from doing so.
Corey isn't the only one who backs up the claims in the documentary. Corey Feldman's ex-wife, Susannah Sprague, also says, "He shared with me that on the set of Lucas that he was raped as a little boy. He told me that it was his costar and he told me that it was Charlie Sheen that did it."
Corey Feldman also names three men who he says abused him as a child as well. One is Jon Grissom, who was in License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream with both of the Coreys, and who also allegedly used to accompany the boys to nightclubs when they were teens. Corey also says that Alphy Hoffman was part of the abuse, as well as his former manager, Marty Weiss.
Jon Grissom has repeatedly denied the allegations. "I said it’s not me I’m sick and tired of saying that when no one listens. So goddamnit I’m not repeating it anymore." Alphy Hoffman has similarly denied the allegations, and hasn't spoken publicly on the topic since Corey Feldman named him on The Dr. Oz Show in 2017.
Marty Weiss, however, has recently continued to deny the allegations that Corey Feldman has leveled against him. In February, he took to Twitter to write, "Corey Haim would never grandstand sex abuse for profit nor would he have thrown innocent names around due to personal vendettas. The fact that Feldman uses me to convince ppl that CH was a sex fiend is horrific and exposes both his jealousy of Haim & CF’s friendship with me."
The documentary was originally meant to be streamed online as well for a small fee. The event was supposed to being at 11 p.m. on March 9, and viewers could watch it after paying $20. However, nearly an hour after the start time the film still hadn't begun, and people who had paid to see it were met with a message that read, "Please be patient. The hackers are trying to prevent the stream from airing. The program will begin momentarily. We appreciate your patience and support!"
Corey Feldman also screened the documentary at a theater in Los Angeles. Several of his celebrity friends were on hand to view it, including Rosanna Arquette, Dave Navarro, Chris Kattan, Ron Jeremy, and Jamie Kennedy.
For his part, Charlie Sheen has issued statements denying the allegations.
In 2017, Charlie told TMZ, "In my nearly 35 years as a celebrated entertainer, I have been nothing shy of a forthright, noble and valiant courier of the truth. Consistently admitting and owning a laundry list of shortcomings, wrongdoings, and indiscretions this traveler hath traveled — however, every man has a breaking point. These radically groundless and unfounded allegations end now. I now take a passionate stand against those who wish to even entertain the sick and twisted lies against me. GAME OVER."
Judy Haim, Corey Haim's mother, also sided with Charlie Sheen. She has alleged that Dominick Brascia, who also filmed movies with both Coreys, is the one who abused her son.
Charlie Sheen filed a complaint in 2017 against "a particularly egregious, hurtful, and disgusting campaign of defamations falsely asserting that Mr. Sheen sodomized a thirteen year old celebrity actor Corey Haim."
