Bride Plans Wedding At ‘Perfect’ Estate, But 9 Days Before Big Day She Learns It’s A Lie

Megan Carney was so excited to plan her wedding with her fiancé, Avery. During the months she spent preparing for the big day, she thought she'd found the most amazing venue. (And many brides will agree that locking down a good venue is one of the most difficult and frustrating parts!)

The gorgeous 12,000-square-foot estate was situated on five acres of sprawling land in Carmel, Indiana. It featured an outdoor fireplace, pool house, hot tub, chef's kitchen, and a fireplace imported from a French castle. It was the perfect setting for their nuptials. In fact, Megan and Avery loved the estate so much that they bumped up their wedding date to August 4, 2018.

After Megan spent nearly five months in planning mode, she and her fiancé picked up their marriage license and were all set and ready to go.

Nine days before the event, Megan tried reaching out to the owner of the estate to tie up any loose ends and finalize the itinerary. That's when things took a horrible and unexpected turn.

The owner seemed to be evading Megan's calls. She knew something wasn't right and called Avery in a panic.

Later that day, the worried bride-to-be received a call back.

What followed was an absolute wedding nightmare that's now going viral as a cautionary tale.
