It's one of every parent's worst nightmares: Your child isn't safe, even inside the confines of your home.
Parents must be vigilant at all times. Not every stranger means well when they ask to hold a child. But anyone would expect to be safe inside their own house.
One father got the shock of his life when he discovered that his baby son's safety was threatened where he thought he would be the safest — inside his crib.
The father was woken up by strange noises inside his house and got up to investigate the source, thinking that a stray animal was to blame.
But when he entered his son's room, he realized that there was a much bigger threat in the family's midst: A total stranger was just standing there, hovering over the boy's crib.
The father jumped to action as the frantic mother called the authorities. He managed to tackle the man and pin him down until police came.
The intruder was arrested, but claimed that, though he did intend to kidnap a baby, he had the wrong house. He said he realized the error when he saw the father.
It's quite fortunate that the father was able to catch this criminal before any more damage could be done, or anyone was hurt!
