Weddings are joyous occasions when family and community gather to celebrate the happy couple committing their lives to one another. Plus, most of the time there is cake. Eminem’s daughter Alaina Scott married Matt Moeller on June 9, 2023, in Detroit, Michigan.
Alaina took to Instagram to share all about her and Matt’s big day. She posted a carousel of photos. Many fans of her father took to the comments to ponder if he was in attendance, since none of the photos prominently featured anyone resembling him.
It is unknown at this time if Eminem was present at his daughter’s wedding.
“Where’s Marshall?” commented one Instagram user.
“Not me zooming in to look for Eminem,” joke another.
We can infer from Eminem's past behavior that he was there. He is a dedicated father who has let his children shine without upstaging them with his own fame. He has historically tried to shield his family from the press.

Eminem is a father of three whom he shares with his ex-wife, Kim Scott. Alaina is his oldest daughter and biologically his niece. He adopted her in the early 2000s because her mother was struggling with addiction. His daughter Hailie is his only biological child. He also adopted his nonbinary child Stevie, whom Kim had with ex-Eric Hartter in between her marriages to Eminem.
It is known that around 125 people attended Alaina and Matt’s wedding. It was held outdoors. Hailie served as the maid of honor.
Alaina looked stunning in a mermaid-style off-the-shoulder white dress. Her accessories included a bejeweled headband, veil, and red lip. Matt wore a white tuxedo jacket and black pants. The wedding party coordinated in all black.
“June 9, 2023 simply one of the best days of my life in this lifetime and in the next, my soul will always find yours,” Alaina captioned her Instagram carousel celebrating the big day. She and Matt appear to be over the moon.
Alaina and Matt dated for seven years before he proposed in December 2021. Alaina took to Instagram to celebrate, gushing, “this moment. this life❤️ yes a hundred times over. I LOVE YOU.”
Eminem opened up about being a dad to Rolling Stone magazine in 2004. "Bein' a dad is definitely living a double life. Once I hit them gates where I live, that's when I'm Dad,” he explained. “Takin' the kids to school, pickin' 'em up, teachin' 'em rules. I'm not sayin' I'm the perfect father, but the most important thing is to be there for my kids and raise them the right way."
There is another wedding in his future, as daughter Hailie got engaged to her boyfriend, Evan McClintock, in February of this year.
