It's no secret that labor and delivery are expensive, especially in the US. New moms count themselves lucky if they're able to grab some newborn diapers, mesh undies, and witch hazel pads for the road when they're discharged from the hospital. Then the hospital bills arrive a few short weeks later.
But one hospital in New York sends each new mom home with a luxury swag bag each time they give birth. We're talking full-sized Chanel beauty items. And fellow moms have all the jokes in response to the bougie gift bags.

Chloe Tucker Caine from Owning Manhattan on Netflix is among the moms who received the bougie bag. "The hospital where I gave birth gives all new moms this Chanel parting gift," she said in a TikTok video while holding her newborn and a Chanel satchel. "I still have not opened mine, and she is 1 month old."
It's unclear if every bag is identical. However, for Caine, the satchel included full-sized bottles of $110 Coco Chanel perfume and a $58 water-to-foam facial cleanser. Additionally, the bag had a tube of red lipstick priced at $58 inside. Not too shabby!
The internet loves an unboxing! In a more recent TikTok video, another user shared what her cousin received after delivering a baby at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. The woman revealed the water-to-foam cleanser and the perfume, similar to Caine's bag. However, instead of lipstick, she had mascara in her Chanel gift bag.

In the comments, there was no shortage of jokes. One TikTok user wrote, "When I had my baby the hospital gave me my baby."
Another fellow mom commented, "I love that your hospital gave you Chanel. Mine gave me birthing trauma so like samesies," while a third shared, "I got a $10,000 bill….."
Someone else shared, "I got a bag of pads and some witch hazel spray ."
The jokes kept coming.
Another mom chimed in with, "I got dropped on the floor after my epidural."
