Katie Holmes and her boyfriend, musician Bobby Wooten III, are getting closer. According to sources close to Katie, Bobby has spent time with Katie's family, including her daughter, Suri, now 16 years old.
"He is getting to know her family," a source revealed to People. "Katie is having a great time with Bobby. He is very kind and happy. He makes her laugh."
While Bobby is making headlines as the boyfriend of the actress, he's super successful on his own. He's an accomplished musician who has been nominated for a Grammy. He also serves as an adjunct instructor at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
Katie and Bobby were first romantically linked back in April. They were spotted together in New York City having a romantic day. They visited the Guggenheim Museum, rode the subway, and were holding hands and kissing all over the city.
But it seemed clear right from the start that it was more than just a fling. That's because during the outing, Katie's mom was also spotted. She was pictured hugging her daughter's boyfriend.
On May 26, Katie and Bobby took to the red carpet. They attended the Moth's 25th Anniversary Gala at Spring Studios in NYC. Bobby presented his collaborator David Byrne with an award.
Katie also brought her boyfriend to the Tribeca Film Festival for the premiere of her new film, Alone Together. It was a big night for Katie, as she wrote, directed, and stars in the film. The two looked happy and in love as they posed together, laughing and holding hands.
