Lenny Kravitz Wishes Jason Momoa Happy Birthday And The Internet Turns It Into A Lisa Bonet Fest

Jason Momoa turned 41 over the weekend and enjoyed a plethora of well-wishes from people all over the world. One of those people was Lenny Kravtiz, the ex-husband of Jason's wife, supreme goddess Lisa Bonet.

While people were happy to celebrate Jason in all of his glory, a huge portion of well-wishers quickly realized a stunning fact: Lisa Bonet has been seriously involved with two stunning men who have the ability to celebrate and love one another. Not only do Jason and Lenny get along, the pair actively and happily co-parent Lenny and Lisa's adult daughter, Zoë Kravtiz.

It all started when Lenny penned a birthday post for Jason on Instagram: "Happy Birthday @prideofgypsies. One family. One love." Jason happily replied, writing, "love you ohana. miss u."

That's basically all it took for the internet to fall over itself in a hurry to love and appreciate these two men — and the woman who has loved them both. Lisa's name quickly began trending online.

One person wrote, "Sometimes I wonder what Lisa Bonet did in a past life to be able to land both of these incredibly sexy men in her life. She must have very good karma." Another person echoed the sentiment, writing that Lisa has basically won the game of life in a major way: "If life is a game Lisa Bonet has already won."

Many people noted that they would love to receive lessons from Lisa in the ways of life and love. One person added, "I would absolutely take Lisa Bonet's master class."

Obviously, the comments are all in good fun, but seriously … if Lisa wants to start teaching, she'll have a very attentive audience.

Lisa and Lenny were a major couple in the 1990s, even though their relationship didn't really last that long. When they met, Lisa was starring on The Cosby Show as Denise Huxtable, while Lenny was still struggling to break into the music business. Lenny told Rolling Stone that the two immediately connected: "She was like a female version of me."

In fact, he credited Lisa with helping him really open up as a musician and artist: "That woman inspired me so much. It was a magical time that she and I shared. I just opened up artistically."

Lisa and Lenny lived together as friends and roommates before beginning their relationship.

They eloped in 1997 and welcomed Zoë in December 1988. They separated fairly quickly in 1991, finalizing their divorce in 1993. Lenny has shared that he just wasn't ready for their relationship: "I think I just wasn't ready. I had to take a break. I went through a lot of emotional things, a lot of deaths in my family."

He also said that their breakup was devastating: "I was in a tremendous amount of pain when we broke up, tremendous. For, like, six months, I only slept for two hours a day, from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. The rest of the time I was just up, like a zombie. I was floored."

Happily, Lenny and Lisa have been able to work through that pain and are now best friends.

Lenny told Oprah that he loves the current iteration of their relationship: "Zoë's mom and I now are best friends. When we're all together now — her man, her kids, Zoë, me — we're all together and we're one big, happy family. It's beautiful and it just shows you what can be done."

Lisa and Jason have been together for over 14 years, and Jason has been a fan of his wife since he first saw her on TV in 1987. In 2017, he told James Corden, "Ever since I was like, 8 years old and I saw her on the TV, I was like, 'Mommy, I want that one.' I'm like, 'I'm going to stalk you for the rest of my life and I'm going to get you.'"

Jason didn't even tell Lisa about his long-term infatuation until well into their relationship. "I didn't tell her that until we had two babies, otherwise, I'd be creepy and weird. But yeah, just always wanted to meet her. She was a queen, always."

The two finally met in 2005 at a jazz club. "We just happened to be in the right place at the right time," he said. "I actually had dreaded my hair for her. I had dreadlocks, she had dreadlocks. I literally turned around and I see her and she goes, 'I'm Lisa.' I turned around to my friend and I [pretends to scream]. I had fireworks going off inside, man. I convinced her to take me home, because I was living in a hotel."

Lisa shared that it took her a second to warm up to Jason all the way, but that it's really worked for them since: "I can't say it was full-on from the moment we saw each other, but we have been together from the day that we met. In that moment, love came and it came big, and he did not run as I think a lot of men do. He basically picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, caveman style!"

Their daughter, Lola, was born in 2007, and their son, Nakoa-Wolf, was born in 2008. Jason has openly gushed about being a parent, saying, "It's real love. Seeing them grow, learning from them, teaching them … it's just the greatest thing in the world."

Lisa has also praised her husband, saying, "Jason embodies a rare form of masculinity in this day and age — he's a leader; he's generous. Just in terms of charisma, physique, the right use of power, responsibility, work ethic, you can go down the line."
