I loved having animal friends around when I was a little kid. All of my favorite memories revolve around walks with our family dog, visiting the horses at my uncle's farm, or feeding ducks at the pond in our neighborhood. There's just something so rewarding about the instant bond you can find with all sorts of sweet critters we're able to find hanging out with us on our planet.
I wish I'd been given the opportunity to experience the unique meet and greet the little girl in this video has, though. While I've visited a few wild animal parks in my day, none of them ever featured an adorable baby rhino like Ringo. The southern white rhino calf lives at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. Sadly, his mother abandoned him after he was born, but he found plenty of love waiting for him from his new adopted family at the facility. With caretakers providing round-the-clock care and fellow rhinos around to play with, including the last three remaining southern white rhinos on earth, Ringo is definitely a happy camper despite his tragic past.
Those visiting the park are able to see his precious face in person and learn more about his fascinating species. You can even help to feed him! This little girl, however, was content just to enjoy a nice stroll with the cutie by her side. It is certainly a strange image at first, but also so charming to see the youngster being taught about the world with the firsthand experience.
