Sadie Loren had one wish for her sixth birthday, and it wasn't for a pony or a princess dress like most girls her age. Her wish was for something much more special than anything that could be wrapped up with a pretty bow. Her wish was to cut off her hair and donate it to Locks of Love.
Locks of Love is an organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children who have lost their own hair due to medical conditions.
Lets face it, young kids are usually all about "me, me, me" — so when I saw what this little cutie-pie wanted to do for other kids who don't have hair, I was blown away! I don't know many grown-ups who would be "mature" enough to make that kind of sacrifice.
It's always amazing to see children exhibiting the courage to do what most adults could not, like this brave little girl who donated her bone marrow to all three of her younger brothers to save them from cancer. It takes a very special child (and great parents) to see the beauty in giving at such a young age. Great job, Sadie, we are proud of you!
With long hair or short, inside and out, this is one beautiful little girl!
