Mandy Moore is pregnant with her third child and she's excited that her two sons — August, 3, and Oscar, 1 — will have another sibling. In an Instagram post on Friday, May 31, Mandy, 40, wrote that "sometimes life imitates art." She appeared to be referring to her role on This Is Us. On the show, Mandy portrayed Rebecca Pearson, who had three kids: two boys and one girl.
"The third in our own Big Three coming soon. Can’t wait for these boys to have a baby sister. ," the actress and singer continued in her post.
Mandy wasn't a mom yet when she first started working on This Is Us. After welcoming her first two kids with husband Taylor Goldsmith, she began to draw more parallels between her role on the show and her real-life experience with parenting.
"I've been so lucky to have the ultimate guide into motherhood with Rebecca," she previously told People. "She's human and fallible and I don't agree with her choices all the time. But being a mother is always her top priority. Her family is always first."
Mandy and Taylor got married in 2018 then welcomed their first child, August, in 2021. In 2022, Oscar was born.
In 2023, Mandy spoke to People about how parenting is "hard work." "I think, it's just having grace for ourselves as parents and as humans and recognizing that each day is going to present its own challenges, but its own immense joy as well," she told the outlet at the time.

To announce that she's pregnant with her third child, Mandy also included a picture of her sons holding hands. In the picture, August is wearing a shirt that reads "big" while Oscar is wearing a shirt that says "middle."
