It's not unheard of: Sometimes married couples who are madly in love need to feel the spark that brought them together again. Maybe they'll go on dates without their kids, or even go on a short vacation without them. Any alone time is precious!
Husbands are perhaps expected to perform grand gestures to show their wives love and affection, like buying flowers and cooking up a romantic dinner.
But my favorite gesture is what Steve Alley did from his hard-working wife and mother to their children, Brené Brown.
Brown came back from the gym and found a strange note from an anonymous admirer, asking her out on a date to go 2-stepping.
At first, she was caught completely off guard, but then she noticed the phone number at the bottom and realized she already knew who the sender was: her husband!
What a sweet gesture, and it has women everywhere swooning…

Brené Brown walked out of the gym one day and found a strange note stuck to the windshield of her car.

The working, married mom found it odd yet flattering that a secret admirer had taken the trouble to make some surprising confessions.

The note, written on a napkin, read: "You are really cute. I am going 2-stepping tonight, if you would like to join me."
At the bottom of the note was a phone number.

Brown immediately recognized this number as her husband's!

Steve Alley had spied on his wife while she was at the gym, perfectly timing the moment he would leave the note on her car.

Far from being disappointed, Brown thinks this made the note even more romantic!
Please SHARE if you love what this husband did to make his wife feel loved and appreciated, and if you think all husbands should try this out!
