Meghan Trainor And Husband Are So Close They Installed Side-By-Side Toilets In Their Home

One of the best parts of marriage is the intimacy in it. During your wedding, you vow to share lives with someone. But perhaps not everything needs to be shared.

Singer Meghan Trainor revealed that she and her husband, actor Daryl Sabara, are so close that they even defecate together. Well, sort of.

Meghan's brother Ryan accidentally mentioned it on the Why Won't You Date Me? podcast, hosted by Nicole Byer. Ryan was talking about his own relationships, and how he thinks he has a different approach from his sister.

"You guys are weirdos, bro," Ryan said on the podcast. "They poop together! She's pooping and Daryl's like, 'I'm going to go hang out with you now!'"

But according to Meghan, there's a reason why she and her husband have a bit of openness in the bathroom. For one, they reportedly have the same "schedule." But, it's reportedly also for their baby son. So, new moms, take note.

"We just got a new house and we did construction — nobody knows this — but in our bathroom, there was one toilet," she explained. "A lot of times in the middle of the night when we're with the baby, we gotta pee at the same time. So I was like, 'Can we please have two toilets next to each other?'"

And, well … that's what they did. "We pee at the same time a lot," she said. She admits that the plumbers thought she was joking at first, but she was not. It's something that a lot of other married couples might raise an eyebrow over.

The couple has been married since December 2018, and seem happier than ever. Oddly enough, they were introduced by star Chloe Grace Moretz. They first met at a party, and Meghan was reportedly taken aback by the fact that Daryl had starred in a cult-classic favorite kids movie — Spy Kids.

"I was like, 'Oh my God, it's Spy Kids,'" she told People magazine. "I went up to him while he was getting a drink. I was like, 'Are you Spy Kids?' And he was like, 'Yeah.' And I thought that was so cool. And I told all my friends all night long, like, watch this guys, and I would yell, 'Yo, what's up, Spy Kids?' And he would go, 'Yo, what's up, Meghan?' I called my entire family and was like, 'I partied with Spy Kids last night.'"

Luckily, Daryl didn't mind it. On their first actual date, the two went bowling and did a karaoke session. She felt an instant connection with him, and hasn't left his side since — even in the bathroom, apparently. Daryl felt that same spark.

"It's super cheesy, but when you know, you know," Daryl told People. "As soon as she walked in the room and I saw her, I just knew: This is the one. Everything about her." Little did he know that one day, they'd pee together side by side.

Literal toilet humor aside, the two of them seem to adore each other. Right from the beginning, Daryl never wanted to be away from her. "We went from zero to 60, and I went on the road with her, and you really get to know somebody on a tour bus. But we just love everything about each other and are really good communicators," he said.

The two announced the pregnancy on October 7, 2020. Their son Riley arrived in February. While he's happy and healthy now, he reportedly had a rough start after he was born. "It was one of those horror stories where he didn't cry," Meghan explained to Today. "He didn't make noise when he came out. I was like, 'Why isn't he crying?' Then they told me he was having breathing issues. It was terrifying."

"It was definitely a rough start," Meghan said. "But we’re so lucky we got to bring him home after five days." Ever since his arrival, it seems like both Meghan and Daryl can't get enough of him. "I'm biased, but he’s the smiliest, happiest baby," she added.

It seems like these two were made to be parents. And the love they have for each other is incredible. Even if they didn't change up their whole bathroom to include two toilets, they'd have found yet another way to stay so close. In a way, it's almost romantic how they never want to be apart.
