Groom Enlists A Monkey As A Ring Bearer To Surprise His Bride During The Ceremony

There are a lot of very important roles to fill when you're planning to tie the knot with your favorite guy or gal. Obviously, the most important pair, the bride and groom, are already spoken for, but from the bridal party to the guest book attendant, there's still plenty of parts needing to be played.

Selecting a ring bearer can be tricky business. When Jamie Richardson said "I do" to his bride, Natalie Biggins, he decided to give the important task to someone a bit more unorthodox: an adorable rhesus monkey named Rosie.

While I've heard of some folks using their dogs for the job, this was definitely a new one!

Jamie is known for his silly surprises with friends and family, but the look on Natalie's face makes it clear that she never expected him to do anything on quite this level. The stunt set her new husband back a pretty penny, over $2,500, but he says it was totally worth it knowing how much Natalie loves the cute critters.

When the time came for the best man to hand over the rings, Jamie's friend Chris Klein said that he had left them in his car. A few minutes later, Natalie's jaw nearly hit the floor when she saw Rosie waltzing toward her with the box.

Before this, Rosie made a name for herself starring in an IKEA ad.
