Morgan and Bode Miller are opening up about a scary experience involving one of their kids.
On Tuesday, Morgan posted an Instagram story revealing that one of her and Bode's twins had a febrile seizure.
"Life is constantly walking a knife edge and it's not something we're unfamiliar with," Morgan wrote. "Yesterday, Asher had a febrile seizure which scared us half to death. We took that same ambulance to the same hospital we took Emmy to but this time we got to leave with our child."
Three-year-old Asher is on the mend, luckily. But the experience had to be terrifying for Morgan and Bode, who lost daughter Emmy in an accidental drowning at just 19 months old back in 2018.
They are also the parents to Scarlett Olivia, 13 months; Aksel, 3; Easton, 4; and Nash, 8. Bode is also dad to son Nate, 10, and daughter Dace, 14, from previous relationships.
Morgan shared an update with her followers shortly after her original post, writing that Asher is "back home and back to his normal self."
She also commented on the importance of being grateful for what we have: "I am reminded to slow down and realize life's little gifts during this crazy holiday season because we already have everything we need … Our loved ones, our health and more time." She concluded, "Because time with the ones we love is all we could ever ask for."
After the death of their daughter, Morgan and Bode began going to great lengths to keep their kids safe in terms of learning early water safety. They've also helped teach it to other kids and educate the public about drowning.
