She Asks Kids To Describe Their Favorite Animals. What They Tell Her? Any Parent Will Love This!

The magic of being a child is something truly unrivaled. While their tiny minds develop, the world around them morphs into imaginative abstractions of the plain old everyday beauty that our adult brains have become so accustomed to.

Perhaps one of the best examples of this is shown in a photo series we posted of a company that turns children's illustrations into oversized stuffed animals, bringing the magic of their creations to life straight from the pages of their doodles. A cat-ice cream sundae hybrid? No problem! A rainbow-striped monster with missing teeth and tentacles? Why not?! And perhaps one of my favorite illustration projects is the one we posted of an artist and father who “finishes” his kid’s drawings as an ongoing collaboration that warmed our hearts.

In the video below, U.K.-based artist and illustrator Lara Lee took the recordings of a few children describing their favorite animals and drew exactly what they described, word-for-word. The results are some hybrids monsters that capture exactly what a child might imagine if you described an animal they’d never seen before. And both the drawings and the children’s descriptions will no doubt put a smile on your face.

Be sure to SHARE this adorable project with anyone who has kids! They’ll love it!
