Stranger Friends Mom On Facebook, Then Claims She’s Her Daughter’s Real Mom

Natalie and Rick Ross were in shock when they saw photos of their miracle baby, Emmaline, on a Facebook "friend's" page. The friend was stealing photos of their daughter and claiming that Emmaline was her own.

It all began when a woman named Meagan Williams sent her a friend request on Facebook. Natalie has a blog to cope with the loss of her daughter Madeline, who died of SIDS.

Williams claimed to have read the blog when she reached out to Natalie. It turns out Williams only befriended Natalie to steal her photos. Williams created a new account under the fake name Maryann McGregor, where she invented a fake husband named Brad and claimed that Emmaline was really her daughter named Embry. It was all a sham family.

"It just sent chills up my arms. I couldn't believe that someone would steal something that was so special to me and play it as their own," Natalie says in the video below.

Williams' plan unraveled when a friend of hers became suspicious and searched the photos on Google. This led her to the photographer who took the pictures of Emmaline, who then notified Natalie and Rick.

"She used my daughter to get into my life and then she's stealing the identity of this other little girl that we prayed so hard for," Natalie says.

Williams has since deleted her fake accounts and the photos. The Rosses came forward with their story to warn others about whom they befriend on Facebook.

"Just because they have one mutual friend doesn't mean they have the right motives. Be very careful of who you accept because you never know what they could do or what they are capable of doing," Rick says.

To ensure your safety on Facebook, only accept friend requests from people you know, and switch your privacy settings from public to private.
