Estranged spouses Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who in the opinion of this writer have no business getting back together, are parents to four delightful children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
At 8 years old, North West is the oldest of the West children and easily the most outspoken. From calling out her mom on Instagram to regularly giving off her dad's I-do-what-I-want energy, North is already showing signs of potentially becoming bigger than her parents combined.
Part of what makes North West so fun to follow is that she lives pretty unapologetically for an 8-year-old who was famous before she was even born. Case in point: Kim recently shared that North's personality can no longer be contained, and the young girl is being who she wants.
While speaking to Ellen DeGeneres recently, Kim revealed that North has some surprising interests. "All my kids are so different. North is like goth — she's into Hot Topic. She puts fake tattoos on her face, and she listens to Black Sabbath, and she's just like a full goth girl."
On top of that, North also still wishes she was an only child … many siblings down the road. "North, I thought she was gonna grow out of this like, 'I want to be an only child' phase. She hasn't. It's a struggle even to go to school. There'll be times when she's like, 'I'm not riding in the car with my brother.' So morning drop-off has to be a fun thing, and luckily, so many of our friends and cousins, they all live in the same neighborhood, so I'm the carpool mom."
Things have gotten to a point where North has to be separated from her siblings so she can shine. Kim says "[I] have to separate the kids because [North] wants her own music, she wants her own vibe, she wants to sing with her [friends]. So I have to trade off. It's always a thing — bribes."
North is also fond of calling out her mom while Kim is shooting videos for Instagram. In one shared to Kim's Instagram Stories, North is heard asking, "Why do you talk different?"
Kim seems surprised by the question, so she asks the rest of the kids if it's true. "For my videos I'm the same human being. I don't talk different. How do I talk different? Guys, do you think I talk different when I'm talking about contour?"
In another video, North reprimanded Kim for allegedly pretending to be a fan of Olivia Rodrigo. After Kim says, "How cute is Olivia Rodrigo, you guys? You guys know I love 'Drivers License,'" North is heard replying, "You never listen to it."
With moments like these, there's just no telling what the oldest West child will get up to in the future.
