Jessica Simpson is home recovering after spending a week in the hospital. The singer and fashion designer is currently pregnant with her third child. She recently contracted a nasty bout of bronchitis — and after battling the illness several times, she required hospitalization.
Jessica has been having a rough go during this pregnancy. A few months back, she took to Instagram begging other mothers for home remedies for her overly swollen feet and ankles. While many fans expressed concern, it was thankfully nothing more than swelling. It went down after she received a cupping therapy treatment. She's also battled sciatica pain and "severe pregnancy acid reflux," forcing her to buy a sleep recliner.
Jessica is excited to welcome her little girl into her family. The little girl, who will be named Birdie, will join Jessica and husband Eric Johnson's two older children, 6-year-old daughter Maxwell and 5-year-old son Ace. Birdie will be joining the nest any day now, making Jessica's tough journey well worth it.

Just a month after the shower, trouble returned for Jessica. She had to purchase a sleep recliner after "severe pregnancy acid reflux" made sleeping lying down impossible for the singer.
Jessica posed with this toilet seat just a little while later. She warned pregnant moms not to lean back on the toilet seat in the hilarious shot.
Although Jessica's looking forward to Birdie's arrival, she's also watching her children grow. She posted this bittersweet shot of Maxwell and Ace with the caption "Stop growing up! ."
She posted another photo endorsing a green tea detox mask to reduce swelling. In the photo, Jessica shows the swelling around her face and eyes as she applies the mask.
That post was the last time fans had heard from Jessica until a few days ago. She revealed that she had been in the hospital for a week due to bronchitis.
In the caption, she wrote, "After a week in the hospital for bronchitis (my fourth time in 2 months), I’m finally home! Coughing with Birdie has been a crazy painful journey. I am slowly getting healthier every day."
The good news comes during the home stretch, as Birdie's due date draws near. Jessica wrote, "Baby girl was monitored and is doing amazing! I am on my way to healthy and counting down the days to see her sweet smile. Sending love and prayers to all the mothers who are going or have gone through this. OUCH."
