Prince William Responds To Military Veteran Who Asked About Kate Middleton’s Health

Prince William recently gave a mini health update on Kate Middleton during his latest outing. He attended an event on June 5, 2024, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day Landings. According to a video circulating on social media, a veteran asked the Prince of Wales if Kate was "getting any better" amid her current cancer treatments.

"Yes," Prince William responded. "She'd have loved to be here today." He continued, "I was reminding everyone her grandmother served at Bletchley Park, so she had quite a few in common with some of the ladies here who were at Bletchley."

"Thank goodness," the veteran responded. "It's lovely to see you. I will see you in five years' time for the 85th," Prince William said as they shook hands.

Kate continues to remain out of the public eye since announcing her cancer diagnosis in March. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy. The update about her health came after her planned abdominal surgery in January.

"We hope that you will understand that, as a family, we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment," Kate said in the video, explaining that she'd be stepping back from public duties until she felt the time was right to return. "My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy, and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery."
