5 Quality Bra Brands That I Trust To Support My 35-Year-Old Mom Boobs

There is something about creeping up on 35 that makes you want to stop tolerating things that don't make you happy anymore. You might upgrade your bed sheets or stop using soap that dries out your skin. You might buy actual wine glasses instead of drinking out of a mug from 1985 with your name on it. Or you might start wearing quality bras that actually fit and feel good, too.

For some people, that might not seem like all that novel of an idea. But busty women know that finding bras that support you, without hurting your shoulders or your back, can be a huge challenge. If you've had babies, and especially if you've nursed those babies, your breasts more than likely look different than they used to, too. Skin stretches and gravity takes hold. Finding bras that do the trick gets tougher.

Personally, my mom boobs are definitely feeling the effects of all of the above. And it's perfectly OK. I'm not terribly upset at nature, but I do want to be comfortable. I don't want to deal with straps that dig into my shoulders, cups that my breasts spill out of, or a band that rides up my back. Luckily, modern bra companies understand these issues, and that makes my mom boobs very happy.

Here are five quality bras I've come to rely on.

ThirdLove's 24/7 Perfect Coverage Bra

ThirdLove is one of the ultimate bra companies you can find. It was also my first upgrade into purchasing really quality bras that actually fit the way you want and need them to. So I guess these will always have a special place in my heart. Or, at least, close to it (pun intended).

I used the size calculator on Thirdlove's site, which not only helped determine my correct size but also made suggestions for the bras that would fit my body the best. I purchased the 24/7 Perfect Coverage bra. I probably wear it more than any other bra because the soft straps and cups that seem to mold perfectly to my shape make me feel supported while also staying comfortable.

Lively's Busty Bralette

If you think your boobs are too big or too saggy for bralettes, think again. I say this from experience, because I thought the same thing. I never bought bralettes because I imagined they wouldn't offer nearly enough support.

On a whim, I bought the Busty Bralette from Lively. I'd heard great things about it from other busty friends. It offers the perfect amount of support, and I love that it doesn't have underwire. It's so comfortable I could wear it every day. I also love that this one has cute patterns.

Yummie's Cross-Back Bralette

I first found the brand Yummie when I was searching for a budget bodysuit. Most of the ones that claimed to have breast support were crazy expensive. I bought one from Yummie, and it gave me so much support that I thought I'd check out the bras, too.

I purchased this cross-back bra, and it was so comfortable and versatile. I could wear it with clothes that had a more cut-in back. Again, because it's a bralette, it doesn't have underwire, but it gives me just the right amount of support. It's also pretty classy looking, too!

True and Co.'s True Body Lift V-Neck Racerback

True and Co. has amazing bras. Not only are they soft and comfortable, but they are also said to provide up to 1 inch of lift! For mom boobs that are used to just, ya know, hanging around, the concept of "lift" seems foreign. I had to try it out for myself.

I bought the True Body Lift V-Neck Racerback. I didn't go getting out my measuring tape, but I have to say I definitely felt perkier in a T-shirt. This bra is super-full coverage, so I wouldn't wear it all the time, but as far as comfort goes, I could practically live in it.

Shapermint's Bali Comfort Revolution Wire-Free Bra

Another company I love is Shapermint, which makes products that are inclusive in that they're designed for all different body types. Shapermint offers underwear, which is more like shapewear, bodysuits, and, of course, bras that do what they're supposed to do.

I tried out this wire-free bra, and I just love it so much. It feels more high impact than most of my other bras. I could wear it all day and not feel like I need to rip it off as soon as I get home. It also gives my boobs and my confidence a boost!
