When visiting a hotel, you can usually take some time to enjoy a little people watching, but rarely would one expect to discover that their spouse is secretly working there behind their back.
Anthony is a wealthy man who works hard and makes a good living. When he met Brenda and planned to make her his wife, he told her that he would love for her to stay home and care for their kids because they really didn’t need a second income.
Brenda kindly obliged and overall felt a sense of privilege in that she could spend her free time participating in activities she actually enjoyed.
Even though Anthony gave Brenda money to spend as she pleased, she never really made too many extravagant purchases. She routinely used it to pay for bills, home maintenance, and food.
One thing that Anthony didn’t know about Brenda was that she had been keeping a huge secret from him. Prior to their relationship, Brenda had been in love with another man, and even though things didn’t work out between them, she ended up getting pregnant.
She was unsure what to do about it for a long time, but she ultimately decided to have the baby and give him to a family friend who had been longing to be a mother.
A few years passed and Brenda eventually met Anthony and didn’t know how to tell him about her past life. But when the baby’s adoptive parents got into a life-altering accident, Brenda felt as though she needed to step up for her biological child.
