Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have been married for 40 years. The pair celebrated the anniversary of the day they tied the knot on Monday.
Both posted adorable throwback pictures on Instagram to mark the very special occasion.
“40 Years Ago Today! Happy Anniversary My Love,” Ozzy wrote alongside an image of the two of them, both all in white, on their wedding day.
The image is from their Hawaii wedding. They both look incredibly happy and in love in the image. Sharing the photo was the perfect way to mark 40 years as husband and wife.
Sharon shared a more recent image of the pair holding hands at home. “2022 is a special year for me. It marks 40 years of marriage to my darling Ozzy," she wrote alongside it.
“We first met when I was 18, over 52 years we have been friends, lovers, husband & wife, grandparents, and soulmates. Always at each other’s side. I love you Ozzy – Sharrrrrrron x.”
After so many years together, Sharon and Ozzy definitely still love and appreciate one another. But this anniversary was extra special given Ozzy just recovered from a difficult surgery on his neck and back. Sharon called the surgery a "major operation" that would “determine the rest of his life.”
Luckily, Ozzy has since recovered from the surgery, which has come as a relief to his family.
Sharon was just 18 years old when she and Ozzy met. Her father was the manager of Ozzy’s band, Black Sabbath. It was truly a rock 'n' roll love story.
Ozzy and Sharon have three kids together: Jack, Aimee, and Kelly. They've enjoyed success not just from Ozzy's music career but on TV, as well. As a family, they came into the mainstream when they starred on the reality show Meet the Osbournes, which premiered on MTV 20 years ago. The first season was the most-viewed series ever on the network.
