Black Dad Goes To Buy Movie Projector For His Kids, Says He Got Racially Profiled Instead

Joshua Lane is a husband, father, and longshoreman from California. Last year he went shopping so he could buy a movie projector for his two young kids.

While browsing the aisles, Joshua noticed he was being followed by security. In an effort to quell any doubts, Joshua told the security worker he was just a regular working dad and pulled out a picture of his loving family.

He then moved to a different aisle — which only led to more people following him and closely watching his every move.

He said this happened at least three different times in three different aisles.

Joshua took out his cellphone and began recording as an unidentified white woman called someone on the phone. "He's being hostile and threatening," she told the person on the other end of the line.

However, it's clear from the video that he was not being hostile or threatening.

The woman reportedly then asked Joshua to leave the store, but before he could even exit a police officer arrived and told him to leave and not come back, or else he'd be arrested for trespassing.

Joshua and his family spoke out about the incident, calling it yet another troubling example of racial profiling.
