One mom just started a major debate that has the internet torn. Jeena Wilder is a social media star with a massive following, and it's easy to see why. She documents her parenting journey on TikTok and Instagram, where she talks about her modern American family.
Jeena and her husband have five kids, one through adoption. Her family is beautiful, not to mention super photogenic! But Jeena doesn't mind stirring the pot a bit. She just opened up about her approach to kid birthday parties, and it has some people big mad.
In a now-viral TikTok video, Jeena revealed that when one kid gets invited to a birthday party, she brings them all. All five, to be exact!
"You invite one you get all of us," she wrote across a cute video of her dancing. It's a bold stance, for sure. She added that they always bring killer presents, however. She doubled down in the caption, writing, "I’m team the whole family goes!" She also posed the question to her audience.

Of course, commenters were quick to share their own views. One of the top comments reads, "No. That's so rude to me. If my child is friends w your child, through school, church, sports what have you ..and invites them to their bday party that doesn't mean my child is inviting all your other children. That seems just very intrusive and entitled."
One commenter wrote, "No way. Unless the entire family is specifically invited, you don’t show up unexpectedly." It's a fair point because five is a lot more people than one! Some birthday parties are small and aren't able to accommodate that many kids. Imagine if everyone assumed it was OK to bring the entire family. That might get pretty inconvenient for the host.
The debate was pretty lively, so much that Jeena clarified her comments in the caption of a TikTok video. "My husband works a lot and most days it's just me and the kids! I always RSVP or ask the parents first," she wrote.
"I know that not everyone feels that way so I always make sure I spend a little bit more on the birthday gift than the average person would to make up for it," she later added on Instagram.
The mom of five told Today that she can't believe there's been such a big debate over her comments, especially because she always invites the whole family to parties. She also says that it really doesn't bother her if people agree with her stance. I mean, we're talking about birthday parties here, after all.
