As little girls, many of us look at our parents' wedding photos and wait longingly for the day when we can take our own stunning wedding pictures.
Some kids even go so far as to dress up in white and make toilet paper veils for themselves. Usually, though, it's decades before these little girls wear their own gowns.
And when it comes to picking out a dress, some women know exactly what they want: their mother's gown. Some dresses are even passed down through multiple generations.
Well, one woman, Louise, wasn't getting married yet, but she knew she wanted to give a second life to her mother's stunning dress.
So, for her parents' 40th anniversary, Louise donned the white gown and met up with French photographer Gauthier Le Guen for a stylized photo shoot.
The resulting pictures are absolutely gorgeous. These photos are such an incredible 40th anniversary gift for Louise's parents.

On June 24, 1977, Louise's parents tied the knot in an intimate ceremony.
Their outfits were stunning and perfect for the 1970s.
Louise's mom wore a beautiful white dress.
The silhouette was rather simple, but it had some gorgeous details.
The dress had flowy bell sleeves and a delicate V-shaped ruffle.
Louise's mom paired the dress with a hat and a birdcage veil.
She looked ravishing on her wedding day, and it's clear from the pictures that the two of them were very in love.
She can't stop staring at her new groom, and the smile on her face is contagious.
Louise saw how pretty her mom looked in the dress, and she knew this couldn't be the only time the dress was worn.
Instead of leaving it to gather dust in the closet, Louise decided to put on the dress herself.
Louise fit perfectly in her mother's wedding gown, so she set up a photo shoot with French photographer Gauthier Le Guen.
The dress looks just as good on Louise as it did on her mother.
Louise left her hair natural, which gave the photo shoot a very 1970s vibe.
