A mom has found herself in a tough spot after her fiancé said she had to choose between him and her teenage son.
Buck feels he has no choice but to walk away from Stephani if she follows her son, 13-year-old Steven, to Florida, where he's living with Stephani's younger brother after being kicked out of the family home.
"My life is being torn into a million pieces," Stephani explained on Dr. Phil.
"My fiancé, Buck, has given me an ultimatum to either go with my son in Florida or stay here with him. Buck says if I leave, our relationship would be over."
Stephani isn't sure why her son developed the anger problem he has today. She agrees that his behavior has gone unchecked for too long. He's punched holes in the walls for getting his phone taken away, chased his younger siblings with a leather belt, and even threatened them with a loaded gun.
It's gotten to be too much for Stephani's fiancé, Buck. Buck loves Stephani, but he feels like there's no progress being made in Steven respecting the rules of the home and behaving himself.
"I understand the reasoning why Buck doesn't want him here around the other children, but at the same time, I don't want to turn my back on my son," Stephani says.
"I do feel like Buck is being unreasonable. He’s not giving me a good enough reason why it can’t work."
The two find themselves at an impasse and asked for Dr. Phil's help in figuring it all out.
