He Takes Regular Glitter And Smears Mixture All Over Kitchen Tiles For A Completely New Look

If you're like me and spend a ton of time in the kitchen with family and friends, then you probably want it to be a cozy, stylish place to hang out.

However, remodeling an entire kitchen can cost you a pretty penny. Between new countertops, cabinets, appliances, and hardware, you can run a pretty extensive tab at the home improvement store.

So, what's a girl or boy to do when you want to spice up your kitchen on a budget? You pick a few things here and there to update. Maybe you update the lighting or get new hardware for the cabinets, both great options to make a space feel entirely new for a fraction of a kitchen overhaul.

Another place to totally up the vibe in your kitchen is to update your backsplash. This might seem like a huge project, but I promise you that you can do it on your own!

When HGTV’s The Cousins, Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri, visited Rachael Ray on her show, they had a brilliant idea to take a brand new backsplash to a whole new level: glitter.

If you're a bubbly, sparkling person, then this glitter grout project is just for you, and it should only cost you about $50, depending on the size of your kitchen. As you can see in the video below, all you have to do is add some glitter to grout mix and apply as per usual.

You can go as sparse or heavy-handed as you'd like. Just a bit of glitter will give a subtle hint of shine, while saturating the mixture with the stuff will immediately draw eyes to that lovely new backsplash.
