In the past, the crowd favorite was always my festive football Mason jars, so I've continued to make them each year. They're always a hit! This fun DIY craft will take your party to a whole new level — all while scoring major points with football fans as you serve drinks during the big game.
These Mason jars are fun for all ages, and when filled with Coke or root beer, they look like footballs. It truly is the perfect way to enjoy your favorite beverage!
What You Need:
— Mason jars
— Drinking straws
— White electrical tape
— Scissors
— String or hemp twine
— Football flag toothpicks
— Hot glue gun
1. First, place one piece of white electrical tape vertically on the side of the Mason jar. Cut the piece right above the bottom.
2. Next, cut smaller strips and stick them horizontally, which is used to make the "football laces."
3. Continue adding smaller strips — I was able to fit four — until you reach the bottom.
4. Measure out twine around the tops of the Mason jars and cut.
5. Using a hot glue gun, attach twine around the tops of the Mason jars.
6. Fill with your favorite beverage — preferably Coke or root beer — to give it the look of a football.
