Jessica Allossery is an indie folk musician from Canada. For over two years, she searched high and low for the perfect vintage trailer in which she could live and take across the country.
It was love at first sight when Jessica found "Pearl," a 15-foot 1969 vintage Bailey Mikado. It was already completely empty and gutted, but it needed a lot of work.
Now it was time to renovate and restore this "gutted rotting shell" of a camper back to good health.
Jessica's dad happens to be a very skilled carpenter. Her mom, on the other hand, is a creative craftswoman. The trio worked 24/7 to bring Pearl back to life.

Her advice to DIY enthusiasts? "If you’re ever planning to take on a big renovation task, or try and redo ANYTHING that has the [word] vintage or antique in it, find a bottle of patience pills… and eat them, every. single. day. Cause you’ll DEFINITELY need a lot of patience and perseverance to make your project come to life."
Finally, it was time for Jessica to enjoy the fruits of her labor and move into her home-on-wheels/tour bus for her 2017 concert tour.
See the finished result in the video below and meet Pearl, the camper that Jessica calls her "paradise on wheels."
It's easy to see why.
