During the middle of class one day, a teacher in Hong Kong suddenly put up a suicide note of a 20-year-old man from the Netherlands. In the note, the man told his parents he was taking his own life because he had been bullied and tormented for years, and that he wanted the torment to end. The teacher, Chow Yia Fai, wanted his class to know that being bullied because you're different is something that happens all over the world, no matter who you are. He also told his class that he was a victim of bullying himself.
But being bullied, "is not your fault or your problem," Fai told his class, and urged them to talk to someone, or find help, no matter what they were going through.
This was such a real and heartfelt video! It makes you realize that we're not so different – even if we speak different languages or grow up in different places. We're all seeking acceptance and love.
